The things people ask first.
Can I order just one?
Yes. DTF has no minimum and no setup fee, so a single custom tee runs about $17.75
with the shirt included. Screen printing starts at 12 pieces because the setup cost has
to spread across a run to make sense.
Which is better, screen print or DTF?
Neither, in the abstract. Under about a dozen pieces DTF is cheaper because there are
no screens to make. Above that, screen printing pulls ahead on price and stays ahead,
and the ink lay-down is thicker and tougher. Full-color art, photographs and gradients
go to DTF at any quantity, because each color in a screen print is a separate screen.
Do you print on hoodies, polos, totes and caps?
Yes. Hoodies, crewnecks, long sleeves, polos, performance fabrics, totes and aprons
all price off the same tables with a garment adder. Caps are embroidered rather than
printed, and they are quoted separately — caps cannot share a quantity break with
flat goods, so bundling them in with shirts would mean charging you for a break you are
not actually getting.
What sizes do you carry?
Youth through 6XL, and tall sizes from LT to 4XLT. Sizes S–XL are all the same
price. 2XL adds $2.50, 3XL through 6XL adds $4.50, and any tall size adds $2.50 on top of
that. Youth is $1 less. There is no 5XL Tall or 6XL Tall anywhere in the industry.
How fast can I get them?
3–5 business days for DTF, 7–10 for screen printing, 10–14 for
embroidery. The clock starts when you approve your proof and the garments are in, not
when you place the order. Rush is +30% for 3–4 business days or +40% for
2–3, subject to our schedule, and it applies to decoration and setup only —
never to blank garments or freight.
Can I supply my own garments?
Yes, at decoration-only rates. Two things to know: New Jersey requires us to collect
6.625% sales tax on decorating garments we did not sell you, whereas garments we supply
are tax-exempt clothing; and we cannot take liability for damage to supplied goods. In
most cases it costs you less to let us provide the blanks.
What if a piece comes out wrong?
We allow 2% spoilage on standard light garments and 4% on darks, underbased prints and
customer-supplied blanks, capped at two pieces per size run. Anything past that allowance
we credit or replace. On a short run it is worth ordering a spare or two if every single
piece has to land on a body.
Are you actually in New York?
Our presses are in Little Falls, New Jersey, about twenty minutes from the Lincoln
Tunnel, and we ship nationwide. We are named for the city we have been making apparel for
since we started, and we would rather tell you where the machines are than imply
otherwise.
